HC Deb 03 April 1919 vol 114 c1353
6. Mr. ARCHDALE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether his attention has been called to the Report of Mr. Justice Dodd, at the Belfast Prison Inquiry recently held; and, seeing that such Report entirely exonerates the Belfast prison officials from the charges brought against them; what steps he proposes to take in order to refute the falsehoods which are being spread as to the conduct of these officials?

The ATTORNEY GENERAL for IRELAND (Mr. A. W. Samuels)

The Report of the learned judge on the Belfast Prison Inquiry has been received and submitted to His Majesty. I am glad to say that it exonerates the prison officials concerned. The Report was laid on the Table on the 17th March, and will be circulated at an early date.
