HC Deb 02 April 1919 vol 114 c1184
76. Major O'NEILL

asked the Secretary of State for War whether Post Office employés who have joined the Colours are entitled to the usual gratuity on demobilisation; and, if not, why such soldiers are being adversely discriminated against?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Forster)

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply given to the Member for Pontypool by my hon. Friend the Financial Secretary to the Treasury on 20th March.

Major O'NEILL

Can the hon. Gentleman give any undertaking that this matter will be reconsidered?
