HC Deb 02 April 1919 vol 114 c1184
39. Mr. RENDALL

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the enemy guns allotted to Lords Lieutenant to distribute in their respective counties fall far short of the number of requests for such guns; and if he is now able, and, if not now, when will he be able, to comply with requests for further guns?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I understand that the only captured guns that have been distributed by Lords Lieutenants up to the present are those to which units have substantiated their claims, and which at the wish of the units have been placed at the disposal of the Lords Lieutenant for allocation. A distribution of unclaimed guns will be made as soon as possible.
