§ The SECRETARY for SCOTLAND (Mr. Munro)It is not possible by way of question and answer to give an adequate reply to the first part of this inquiry. I have more than once indicated the nature of a sheriff's duties to my hon. and learned Friend and I would refer him particularly 1614 to my reply to his question on 28th February, 1917. As regards the second part of the question, the duties are current and not allocated to specific times and seasons.
