HC Deb 31 October 1918 vol 110 cc1612-3
91. Mr. CURRIE

asked the Comptroller of the Household, as representing the National Health Insurance Commissioners, whether an official estimate has been formed of the number of insured persons whose medical benefit will lapse as the result of Circular 242 X.

Sir EDWIN CORNWALL (Comptroller of the Household)

For the reasons given in my reply to the hon. Member's question on Monday, no insured person's medical benefit will lapse as the result of the Circular referred to. It is quite impossible to form any estimate as to the number of persons whose right to benefit may be affected by fluctuations of wages due to war conditions.
