HC Deb 31 October 1918 vol 110 c1590
102. Sir R. COOPER

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the firm of Ettlinger and Company still hold the exclusive right to sell on the Continent chrome ore produced by British companies; and, if so, whether this arrangement is sanctioned by his Department?

Sir A. STANLEY

I understand that the agreement under which Ettlinger and Company have the sole agency for the sale of certain Rhodesian chrome ore in France and Switzerland is still in existence, but that owing to these supplies having been requisitioned by the Government the firm is not now dealing in chrome ore. No sanction has been given by the Board of Trade to the agreement.
