The following teachers, that is to say—

  1. (i) persons being or having been certificated teachers whose certificates had expired before the commencement of this Act, or who were at that date in receipt of any allowance under the Act of 1908; and
  2. (ii) teachers who enter on recognised service for the first time after the commencement of this Act, and do not satisfy the Board in the prescribed manner of their physical capacity; and
  3. (iii) certificated teachers who give notice in the prescribed manner and within the prescribed time that they do not accept this Act;
shall not be entitled to any benefits under this Act.

Mr. FISHER

I beg to move, in paragraph (i), to leave out "1908" and to insert instead thereof "1898." This is merely a correction of a misprint in the Bill.
