HC Deb 12 November 1918 vol 110 c2491
60. Mr. PRINGLE

asked the Prime Minister when the promised statement of Government policy with regard to the restoration of trade union conditions will be made; whether an opportunity will be given to the House to discuss the statement; and, if so, when?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I cannot add anything to the answer which I gave to the hon. Member for York on the 7th of November.

Mr. PRINGLE

Will the right hon. Gentleman endeavour to give a reply on the question before the House rises?

Lord H. CAVENDISH-BENTINCK

Is my right hon. Friend aware that the delay of the Government in dealing with the matter is arousing an immense amount of suspicion in the country?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I hope not. I think I have already given a definite reply, which is that the Government intends to introduce a Bill but has no hope of doing so this Session.
