General Sir IVOR PHILIPPSasked the Home Secretary the date on which he took over the duties of Chairman of the Inter-departmental Committee on Prisoners of War and the date on which he dispatched telegrams to General Milne and, through Paris, to General Franchet d'Esperey to include the release of our prisoners as one of the conditions of an armistice with Bulgaria?
§ Sir G. CAVEI took over the duties of Chairman on the 30th September, and on the following day I asked that these telegrams should be dispatched. I understand that telegrams were dispatched to General Milne on the 1st October and to General Franchet d'Esperey on the 2nd October.
