§ Mr. BALDWIN (Joint Financial Secretary to the Treasury)The salaries and wages paid by the National War Savings committee, since its inception in February, 1916, amount to approximately £62,000 and the cost of advertisements to £270,000. The above figures do not include the expenditure of the Scottish War Savings Committee. The cost of publications cannot be given without very considerable labour.
