HC Deb 05 November 1918 vol 110 c1911
17. Mr. KING

asked the Home Secretary whether he has now investigated the reason for the inaccurate statement made on 17th October concerning Mr. D. Chrysin; whether the official responsible has been cautioned; who that official was; and whether Mr. Chrysin, who is honourably known in connection with the cooperative movement, will be informed that regret is felt for the mistake?

Sir G. CAVE

I regret that I have nothing more to say on this case at present. The officer specially concerned with it is at present off duty, somewhat seriously ill with influenza.

Mr. KING

Will the Home Secretary promise that this matter will not be dropped, even if a General Election comes and he is very busy?

Sir G. CAVE

No, Sir; it will not be dropped.
