HC Deb 05 November 1918 vol 110 c1925
81. Colonel GODFREY COLLINS

asked the Minister of Reconstruction whether, in view of the present communications with the enemy and the plight of Germany's allies tending towards peace, his Department have sufficient powers to co-ordinate and enforce the demobilisation plans drawn up in conjunction with other Departments?

The MINISTER of RECONSTRUCTION (Dr. Addison)

The proposals of my Department in connection with demobilisation and resettlement questions, in so far as they require co-ordination and War Cabinet approval, are now being dealt with by a Committee of the War Cabinet which is sitting from day to day. As parts of the work are entrusted to different executive Departments, the Ministers concerned become responsible for carrying it out.
