HC Deb 05 November 1918 vol 110 c1923
54. Major NEWMAN

asked the Prime Minister whether a comprehensive policy for the settlement on the land, whether in the United Kingdom or in the Overseas Dominions, of officers and men on demobilisation has been evolved by the War Cabinet and the Imperial War Conference; and will he make an early statement on the subject?

Mr. BONAR LAW

This question, so far as it relates to the settlement of ex-Service men on the land in this country, was referred to a Special Committee who have now reported to the War Cabinet, and I hope that a statement will shortly be made. As far as the Dominions are concerned, I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the Report of the Proceedings of the Imperial War Cabinet (Cd. 9177).
