HC Deb 05 November 1918 vol 110 c1902
28. Mr. JOYNSON-HICKS

asked the Home Secretary if he will say whether his attention has been called to the case of Arthur Kuhl, a clerk in the Civil Service, British born, the son of naturalised German parents, who was recently fined at the North London Police Court for evading military service and handed over to the military authority; and, if so, whether this gentleman's place is being kept open for him in the Civil Service?

Sir G. CAVE

This is not a case in which I have any jurisdiction, but I am informed that Arthur Kuhl was employed in the service of the General Post Office, and I will bring the hon. Member's question to the notice of the Postmaster-General.
