HC Deb 04 November 1918 vol 110 c1759
6. Mr. COTTON

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will state who are the members of the Season Ticket Committee appointed by the Board of Trade; whether they receive any and, if so, what salary for their services; what are the principles upon which they decide the cases which come before them; and what machinery has he devised for remedying cases of injustice in which an adverse decision has been reached?

Mr. WARDLE

The conditions regulating the issue of renewal of season tickets are set out in the Railway Season Ticket Order, of which I am sending the hon. Gentleman a copy. Cases in which a railway company feel unable to issue or renew such tickets are open to review by Mr. Honoratus Lloyd, K.C., who has been good enough to undertake this work gratuitously. No appeal from Mr. Lloyd's decision is provided for.

Mr. COTTON

Is Mr. Lloyd the only member of this committee?

Mr. WARDLE

So far as I know, there is no committee.
