HC Deb 04 November 1918 vol 110 c1759
5. Mr. GILBERT

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will say whether, in view of the shortage of coal, the Railway Executive Committee propose to reduce the existing passenger services on any of the railways during the winter months; and if he can make any statement on the subject?

Mr. WARDLE

It is hoped that it will not be necessary to make reductions in passenger train services beyond those which have already been made.
