HC Deb 04 November 1918 vol 110 c1798
85. Mr. SNOWDEN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he will have inquiry made into and take suitable action upon the conduct of Major Edwards, of the Royal Field Artillery, France, who recently posted a notice up in the battalion saying that all men in sympathy with the objects for which the National party is formed should support it by joining; that the officer commanding was one of the originally pledged founders of the party and will pay the subscription of any man giving his name for membership this week to the battalion clerk; and that members of the National party incurred no obligation of any sort?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am making inquiry, and will communicate with my hon. Friend as soon as possible.
