HC Deb 04 November 1918 vol 110 c1771
84. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he can arrange that men who have been in France since February, 1915, can have the preference for a turn of home duty?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I would refer my hon. Friend to the written reply which I gave on the 21st October to a question on this subject by the hon. Member for Dublin Harbour.

Sir J. D. REES

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman—I do not desire to ask in individual cases, though I could provide several—is not this really a case for inquiry?

Colonel Lord HENRY CAVENDISH-BENTINCK

Now that the operations in Palestine have ceased, can the right hon. Gentleman arrange that men who have been over two years without leave shall have it at once?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I fancy I have a question on that point later from my hon. Friend.
