HC Deb 14 May 1918 vol 106 c191
30. Colonel GRETTON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions if the accounts of the Control Board (Liquor Traffic) for the past financial year are printed and available to Members of the House of Commons; if so, will he say where they can be found and if the estimate of expenditure is also available; and if a capital account and balance-sheet is to be published?

Sir W. EVANS

The accounts of the Central Control Board (Liquor Traffic) for the past financial year are not yet printed and available to Members of the House of Commons. As my hon. Friend for whom I am answering this question has more than once stated, these accounts are included annually in the Appropriation Account of the Vote of Credit, and an estimate showing the approximate net expenditure for the financial year ending 31st March, 1919, has been included in the published statement (Cd. 9031) of the estimated cost of services to be provided for in the Votes of Credit, 1918–19. A capital account and balance-sheet, with regard to which I would refer the hon. Member to my hon. Friend's answer on the subject on the 15th August last, will be published as soon as practicable. For further information on the subject I would also refer the hon. Member to the Fourth Report of the Central Control Board, which has just been laid upon the Table.
