Mr. PONSONBYasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in view of the recent further reduction in the meat rations, the Food Controller will consider the claim to an extra allowance of butter or meat of persons suffering from wasting diseases and diseases of the digestive organs which cannot be scheduled as either tuberculosis or diabetes?
§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of FOOD (Mr. Clynes)Food Control Committees are being informed that they may forward, for consideration by the medical advisers of the 1703 Ministry of Food, any exceptional cases of disease in which they are of opinion that the special allowance of butter or meat should be granted.
