HC Deb 18 March 1918 vol 104 c780

Order for Second Reading read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read a second time."

Mr. KING

I understand that it is not intended to take more than the Second Reading to-night, and I hope I am correct in supposing that the Committee stage will come after Easter. If so, I am only too glad to let the Second Reading be taken. I think the Government recognise that particular interest is taken in this Bill this year, and that some important Amendments and Debates may arise upon it.

Question put, and agreed to.

Bill read a second time, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House for Thursday.—[Lord E. Talbot.]

The remaining Orders were read, and postponed.

Whereupon Mr. SPEAKER, pursuant to the Order of the House of the 13th February, proposed the Question, "That this House do now adjourn."

Question put, and agreed to.

Adjourned accordingly at Twenty-two minutes before Eleven o'clock.
