HC Deb 04 March 1918 vol 103 cc1700-1
61. Colonel YATE

asked whether any compensation which can be determined by the Defence of the Realm Losses Royal Commission in respect of cattle feeding-stuffs taken over by the Food Controller under Section 1 of the Cattle Feeding-stuffs (Requisition) Order, 1918, must be limited, under Regulation 2 B of the Defence of the Realm Regulations, to the maximum prices described in the Cattle Feeding Cake and Meal and Millers' Offals (Maximum Prices) Order, dated the 1st November, 1917; and whether any applica- tion made to the Royal Commission for sums based on any higher prices would therefore necessarily be useless?

Mr. PARKER

I have been asked to reply. I cannot, of course, anticipate any finding of the Royal Commission, but I am advised that the answer to both parts of the question is in the affirmative.
