HC Deb 25 June 1918 vol 107 c881
30. Mr. KING

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether interned Irish prisoners are allowed to order, buy, or see such newspapers as they wish, or only such as the governor or the Home Office permits; and especially whether any Irish or Labour or Liberal newspapers are allowed?

Mr. BRACE

These interned prisoners are allowed to obtain and read the ordinary papers, including Irish, Labour, and Liberal organs.

Mr. KING

Is it not the fact that the most interesting parts of Liberal, Labour, and Irish papers are obliterated before they are brought in?
