WHYTEasked the Home Secretary whether the French Minister of Foreign Affairs some time ago appointed an expert commission to investigate the various proposals which have been made For the creation of an association of nations after the War; whether he will ascertain whether the Commission has reported; if so, whether the Report will be submitted to the Allied Governments; and whether any similar inquiry has been set on foot by His Majesty's Government?
Mr. BALFOURI will certainly inquire what, if any, steps the French Government intend to take in the matter. As regards the last part of the question, the hon. Member is no doubt aware that in this country an expert Committee has been considering the question for some time.
