HC Deb 17 June 1918 vol 107 c41
69. Mr. COOTE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland the number of primary schools in Ulster under Protestant management that have been closed by amalgamation during the last three years, and the number of Roman Catholic schools in Ulster closed by amalgamation during the same period?

Mr. SAMUELS

I am informed that thirty-seven national schools in Ulster under Protestant management have been dosed by amalgamation during the three years ended the 31st December, 1917, which is the latest date for which the statistics have been compiled. During the same period seven national schools under Roman Catholic management in Ulster have been closed by amalgamation.
