HC Deb 17 June 1918 vol 107 c33
53. Captain CARR-GOMM

asked the Prime Minister, whether he will consider the advisability of utilising the services of two or three private Members of the House of Commons, having experience of the business or management of land, by asking these gentlemen to act as an advisory committee to the Directorate of Lands in order that in the future all cases in which the commandeering of land is necessary the public may have the assurance that an independent and expert body of opinion is assisting the Government Department in selecting the particular site which may be required?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The Government do not consider that the hon. and gallant Member's proposal is necessary to obtain the object which he has in view.
