HC Deb 18 July 1918 vol 108 c1227
26. Sir R. COOPER

asked the Home Secretary if evidence has been accumulated by his Department to show that the enemy is deliberately engaged, through the machinery of its trusted agents in this country, in a system of creating distrust and agitation between different sections of the people and between the people and the authorities; and is he satisfied that the policy hitherto adopted by his Department has adequately met the situation?

Sir G. CAVE

I am satisfied that both the military and civil intelligence Departments are taking adequate measures for dealing with enemy propaganda of the nature described.
