HC Deb 29 January 1918 vol 101 cc1409-10
10. Major DAVID DAVIES

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether the Committee appointed to inquire into the organisations of the Royal Army Medical Services has now concluded its work; whether the Committee has included in its Report any recommendations for the more efficient conduct of Royal Army Medical Corps administration in this country as well as in France; and, if not, whether it is proposed to set up another Committee to inquire into the condition of affairs and the state of organisation of the Royal Army Medical Services in Great Britain?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer which I gave to him yesterday on this subject. The answer to the latter part of the question is in the negative.

Major DAVIES

Is it not the fact that the Committee was appointed to deal with the whole subject of the reorganisation of the Royal Army Medical Corps in this country as well as in France?

Mr. MACPHERSON

No. My hon. and gallant friend will realise, and my hon. Friend (Mr. Pringle) to whom I gave the pledge will corroborate me, that it did not refer to that subject at all.
