Friend the Leader of the House announced at Question Time to-day that there would be a Friday sitting he was under the impression that the Franchise Bill which we are waiting for from another place would come sooner than we now have reason to believe it will. We have every hope that we shall have it in this House to begin business with on Wednesday of next week. That being so, we do not find it necessary now to sit on Friday. Therefore I have to state, for the convenience of the House, that there will be no Friday sitting this week.
