asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the office of the American Mission at Crewe House is a Department of the Foreign Office or conducts its business outside the supervision of the Foreign Secretary?

The office of the American Mission at Crewe House is not a Department of the Foreign Office-Liaison between the work of the Foreign Office and that of the American Mission is maintained through an officer who is on the staff of both.
