HC Deb 27 February 1918 vol 103 c1361
43. Mr. O'DONNELL

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that the Northshore Mill Company, of Liverpool, wrote in November last a letter to a customer in Kerry, stating that, owing to the unsettled state of affairs in the West of Ireland, they were unable to execute an order for flour; will he make inquiries as to whether this company experienced any difficulty in sending flour to its destination or in collecting its accounts; and, if not, will he ask them to explain their refusal to sell flour?

Mr. CLYNES

I have no knowledge of the facts alleged, but I am causing inquiries to be made, and will communicate with the hon. Member so soon as a reply has been received.
