HC Deb 19 February 1918 vol 103 c619

The following question stood on the Paper in the name of Captain CARR-GOMM:

61. To ask the First Commissioner of Works whether the Cabinet Committee on Office Accommodation have received any application from the new Minister for Propaganda for more office accommodation.

Captain CARR-GOMM

When I gave notice of this question there was only one Minister of Propaganda, but as there are now two, will the right hon. Gentleman in his answer say whether the latter part applies to both cases?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER Of WORKS (Sir Alfred Mond)

The answer is in the negative.

Mr. BILLING

Is there any truth in the rumour that Carmelite House has been taken for this purpose?

62. Captain CARR-GOMM

asked how many demands for the new sets of buildings in London are now awaiting the sanction of the Accommodation Committee of the War Cabinet?

Sir A. MOND

I regret that I do not understand what the hon. Member means by "demands for the new sets of buildings"
