HC Deb 14 February 1918 vol 103 c263
42. Mr. LEES-SMITH

asked the Home Secretary whether the correspondence, MSS., cartoons, literature, and all back numbers of "Satire" taken during the recent police paid on Leonard Motler's lodging, 47, Crowndale Road, N.W., have been returned; and, if not, whether he can say why they are being retained?

Sir G. CAVE

The back numbers of "Satire" will not be returned. The question whether the remainder of the material seized will be returned or not is under the consideration of the Advisory Committee.

Mr. SMITH

Cannot they arrive at a quicker decision on this subject?

Sir G. CAVE

A Committee is now sitting.

Mr. LYNCH

Has the "Morning Post" been seized and the type broken up?
