HC Deb 07 August 1918 vol 109 c1325
23. Mr. FFRENCH

asked the under-secretary of State for War if he is aware that Private W. Fennessy, No. 45491, Hussars, British Expeditionary Force, France, joined the Army for eight years with the Colours and four years with the Reserve, and an extra year if required, and, having carried out his part of the agreement with the Government, he thinks he is entitled to his discharge; and if the Government will carry out their part of the agreement and give this soldier his discharge?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Mr. Macpherson)

I am making inquiries in this case, and will write to my hon. Friend as soon as possible.
