HC Deb 29 April 1918 vol 105 c1283
50. Major NEWMAN

asked the Prime Minister whether a date has been fixed for the assembling of the Imperial War Conference; and is it intended that one of the subjects for discussion will be the fixing of uniform regulations throughout the Empire as regards not only the naturalisation of enemy aliens, but also as to the conditions under which they will be allowed to resume or acquire property and engage in trade and commerce?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Hewins)

The date has not yet been settled. The list of questions for discussion is a matter for the Conference, and I am unable to make any statement on the subject.
