asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food if he will state the number of racehorses now in training in. Great Britain, distinguishing stallions, mares, and geldings; and what rations are assigned to them?

I have been asked to reply to this question. The number of racehorses now in training in Great Britain is approximately 1,800, 832 of which are stallions, 736 mares, and 228 geldings. The maximum daily ration allowed in terms of oats is 13lbs. per day.
