HC Deb 24 April 1918 vol 105 c979
20. Mr. PONSONBY

asked the Under secretary for War whether C. Catchpool, now at Ipswich under a third sentence of imprisonment with hard labour, has been awarded the Mons Star; whether he was twice recommended for the Croix de Guerre; whether in the first year of the War he distinguished himself by gallant conduct under fire with the Friends' Ambulance unit; and, if so, will he say for what reason this man, who is perfectly ready to give his services to ambulance work, is repeatedly imprisoned by successive courts-martial?

Mr. MACPHERSON

If my hon. Friend will furnish me with Catchpool's regimental number and the name of his regiment, I will have inquiry made.
