§ 2. Mr. JOWETTasked the Undersecretary of State for War if, having regard to the fact that a soldier who is an epileptic is more exposed to danger on active ser vice at the front on account of the effect of excitement upon him, and also having regard to the fact that he is obliged to take drugs and, consequently, requires a special diet to keep him in health notwithstanding the drugs, he will take action to prevent a soldier who is known to have had epileptic fits being on active service overseas?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONAll men are medically examined as to their medical fitness before proceeding overseas, and are not sent to a theatre of war unless they are certified as medically fit for the duties they have to perform under conditions obtaining in the particular theatre.
