HC Deb 15 April 1918 vol 105 c13
52. Mr. FIELD

asked the Prime Minister whether ho has promised to introduce legislation to secure plot holders in their holdings until 1920 in Great Britain; if so, whether it will be extended to Ireland; and whether fixity of tenure will be given to those who by cultivating plots have materially added to food production?

Sir R. WINFREY

For information as to the details for which my hon. Friend asks I should be glad if he would await the introduction of the legislation referred to in the President's answer to the hon. Member for the Kirkdale Division of Liverpool on Thursday last.

Mr. FIELD

Is it to be understood that the same fixity of tenure will be given to the plot holders in Ireland as will be extended to the plot holders in England, Scotland, and Wales?

Sir R. WINFREY

I think the hon. Gentleman must address that inquiry to the Chief Secretary.
