HC Deb 15 April 1918 vol 105 cc13-4
66. Sir JOHN BARRAN

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether he has now consulted his advisers on the subject of Netting Regulations, with a view to the increase of fish supplies; whether the further Report of the Fresh Waters Fisheries Committee has yet been received by him, and, if not, when it may be expected; and how soon he can announce the result of his investigation into this matter?

The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. Clyde)

My right hon. Friend has received the further Report of the Fresh Water Fisheries Committee, and is considering the matter referred to by my hon. Friend in consultation with his advisers. He is not yet in a position to give a definite answer to the last part of the question.

Mr. HOGGE

May we take it that poaching may go on as usual in Scottish waters?

Mr. CLYDE

That is a question for the prevente's of poaching to settle.
