HC Deb 11 April 1918 vol 104 c1642
68. Mr. BILLING

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether exhibitions by cinema houses throughout Great Britain of films of an educative character, both for children and adults, and films approved or desired by the Minister of Propaganda has his sanction; and, if so, whether he is prepared to cither rebate or remove the Amusement Tax from such cinema houses as are prepared to assist in this scheme of national enlightenment and education?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I would refer the hon. Member to my answer to his question of November 14th last on this subject. I am unable to anticipate my statement on the Budget.
