HC Deb 27 November 1917 vol 99 c1806
6. Sir CHARLES HENRY

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if officers and men of all ranks of the 1/4th King's Shropshire Light Infantry who returned from the East in July last and were sent from this country to France without being granted any leave have now received leave; if not, if he would give the number who up to the present have not received leave; and, if there should be any, if representations will be made to the headquarters in France urging that leave be granted to these without further delay?

Mr. MACPHERSON

The Field-Marshal Commanding-in-Chief promised to give this unit sympathetic treatment, and I am confident that such treatment has been, and is being given, so far as military exigencies permit.
