HC Deb 22 November 1917 vol 99 cc1346-7
46. Mr. LYNCH

asked the Prime Minister whether there are in this country any relatives of the German Kaiser who are not bound to any allegiance to this country or to the cause of the Allies; and, if so, whether any such person, or persons, enjoy privileges not accorded to the ordinary citizen

The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Sir George Cave)

My right hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. I do not know to whom the hon. Member refers, but, so far as I am aware, there is no such person in this country enjoying privileges not accorded to the ordinary citizen.

Mr. LYNCH

Why do the public spirit and virtue of the right hon. Gentleman evaporate at a certain grade of society?
