HC Deb 19 November 1917 vol 99 c846
30. Mr. LYNCH

asked the Attorney-General whether he will call for all papers available in connection with the question of the sale of titles and set on foot an investigation with a view to eventual prosecutions of those who have bribed and those who have taken bribes?

The ATTORNEY - GENERAL (Sir Frederick Smith)

I am aware of no such papers. If the lion. Gentleman will call my attention to those upon which he relies I will carefully consider them.

Mr. LYNCH

Does not the recent Debates in the House of Lords furnish the necessary grounds?

Sir F. SMITH

No, Sir; I think not.
