HC Deb 30 March 1917 vol 92 cc769-70
38. Mr. FIELD

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if, as a result of the recent deputation to him on the question of Irish prison warders' pay, he has decided to have those officers at present serving placed on the identical pay with English prison warders; and, if not, what steps does he intend taking with a view to giving the Irish prison warders a living wage?

The CHIEF SECRETARY for IRELAND (Mr. Duke)

I expect to deal with this matter in Ireland during the coming Recess.
