HC Deb 20 March 1917 vol 92 c21
45. Sir C. HENRY

asked the Prime Minister whether he will consider the appointment of a Parliamentary Commission for the purpose, after examination and investigation, of reporting to Parliament their views as regards the policy that may be recommended by the Government of the day in connection with Indian affairs?

Mr. BONAR LAW

As at present advised I do not propose to take this particular course, but the whole subject is being carefully considered by His Majesty's Government. Until that consideration is completed, I cannot make any further statement.

Sir C. HENRY

I beg to give notice that I shall raise the question of setting up Parliamentary Commissions on the Motion for the Adjournment over Easter.
