HC Deb 20 March 1917 vol 91 c1709
66. Colonel M'CALMONT

asked the Vice-President whether he has taken similar steps for the provision of petrol for fishermen and small yacht owners, who are willing to use their boats for the maintenance of the supply of fish as are in force in England and Wales?

Mr. DUKE

I am informed that the question of the supply of petrol for the purpose mentioned rests with the Petrol Control Committee. So far as the Department of Agriculture are aware, their recommendations have been acted upon in those cases which have been referred to them.

Colonel M'CALMONT

Will the right hon. Gentleman make it clear to the owners of such boats by publishing information as to how they can obtain petrol for the maintenance of the supply of fish?

Mr. DUKE

If my hon. and gallant Friend will address to me a question on the matter I will answer it.
