HC Deb 07 March 1917 vol 91 c393
100. Mr. HAYDEN

asked the hon. Member for Worcestershire (Bewdley Division) whether he is aware that some pension officers in Ireland refuse to consider an application for an additional allowance for old age pensioners who are not in receipt of the full pension of 5s. per week; and if they are justified in the adoption of this view?

Mr. BALDWIN

The answer to the hon. Member's question is in the affirmative. No person, whether in Ireland or in Great Britain, who has an old age pension of less than 5s. a week is eligible for the grant of an additional allowance.
