HC Deb 06 March 1917 vol 91 c186
12. Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTT

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that there are cases of men who joined the New Army at the beginning of the War who have had no leave since December, 1914, and who have served in France since July, 1915; and and whether he can say within what period of time such men may expect that their turn for leave will come?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am afraid that I can add nothing to the very frequent answers that have been given to questions on this subject. My hon. Friend may rest assured that the Field-Marshal Commanding-in-Chief is endeavouring to grant leave as equitably as the military exigencies allow.
