HC Deb 06 March 1917 vol 91 cc200-1
20. Mr. PENNEFATHER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he is aware, that a soldier enlisted in 1914 as Class A, and who had both feet and one hand frostbitten in Gallipoli, was discharged from hospital in 1916, classed C 3, and placed in Reserve Class W, being thereby prevented from obtaining either a pension or the silver badge; and will the War Office consider if this man should be discharged, pensioned, and given the badge?

Mr. MACPHERSON

My hon. Friend has given me particulars of this case and inquiries have been made. This man was transferred to Class W (T) of the Reserve before the formation of Class P (T). He will be brought before a medical board with a view to transfer to Class P (T).
