Mr. PENNEFATHERasked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he is aware, that a soldier enlisted in 1914 as Class A, and who had both feet and one hand frostbitten in Gallipoli, was discharged from hospital in 1916, classed C 3, and placed in Reserve Class W, being thereby prevented from obtaining either a pension or the silver badge; and will the War Office consider if this man should be discharged, pensioned, and given the badge?
§ Mr. MACPHERSONMy hon. Friend has given me particulars of this case and inquiries have been made. This man was transferred to Class W (T) of the Reserve before the formation of Class P (T). He will be brought before a medical board with a view to transfer to Class P (T).
